In June 2019, the bathroom furniture manufacturer burgbad commissioned a Combima with return conveyor system in its factory in Bad Fredeburg. Since that time, the work cell has exceeded the planned production capacity every day.
DIM – the German Furniture Technology Institute (Deutsches Institut für Möbeltechnik) which is situated at the Rosenheim Polytechnic – has specialized in the quality assessment of furniture, mounting hardware and other furniture supplies.

The goal is clear: the woodworking smart factory of the future will use fully networked systems designed to allow the manufacturers of furniture, machinery, panels and edging tapes to automate purchase orders, warehousing and machine setup. This will require unique identification of all materials and supply of digital data which can be accessed by all involved parties.
