Already since 1999, IMA Schelling Italia – which was then still called IMA Italia – has been an agency of the IMA Schelling Group. A sales and service team consisting of more than 20 highly specialized technicians, trained in Germany and Austria, has since then supported the permanently growing number of customers in Italy.  In 2015, the Italian IMA Schelling agency moved to the new location in Zola Predosa, which has a large storage system, a training room and an exhibition room, and has been operating there under the trade name IMA Schelling Italia since 2017.

Carmet Automazioni, from Treviso in northern Italy, has been part of the IMA Schelling Group since 2023. The company has been developing, producing and distributing technologies for industrial automation and handling for over 50 years. The company's offering, for example for cutting with a multi-blade saw, ideally complements IMA Schelling's portfolio. Carmet will continue to operate under its established name and will also continue as a brand name.
