New Solution for Panel Sizing “Perfect Intersection”

IMA Schelling Precision has developed the fk 9 as a custom panel dividing saw that is deliberately positioned between two existing machine classes. The design is based on proven modules and combines central features of the fk 8 and fk 10 in a distinct, independent version. In the official portfolio, this variant is unique to date.

The fk 9 sits within the machine family between the fk 8 and fk 10. With 48 kilowatts of motor power, an extended saw blade projection and a cutting length of 6,300 millimeters, it unites performance and cost-effectiveness below the level of the fk 10. In doing so, the panel saw closes the gap between standard machines and high-end systems.

Concept and Technical Design


The development of the fk 9 was driven by the goal of creating a space-saving machine that simultaneously offers a significantly expanded processing range and exceptionally powerful drive performance, without stepping up into the next higher machine class. “Thanks to the low overall height, we were able to keep the system compact while still delivering high performance,” explains Dieter Zucalli, Product Manager Precision at IMA Schelling. “This allows the fk 9 to unite speed, stability and a clear focus on special requirements.”

Performance Data and Applications


The fk 9 processes stack heights of up to 150 millimeters. The maximum panel width is 3,200 millimeters. The combination of expanded processing capacity and high drive power forms the technical foundation for use in demanding applications. “In day-to-day practice, the fk 9 particularly demonstrates its strengths with complex materials. Even challenging workpieces can be cut reliably and efficiently with the fk 9. At the same time, the machine remains compact and delivers precisely the performance needed where it matters,” says Zucalli.
