New trade fair concept hits the mark

IMA Schelling celebrates 10th anniversary of the group at Ligna 2025

Big appearance in the anniversary year: Anyone hoping for a classic machine park in Hall 12 was surprised - and convinced. IMA Schelling deliberately refrained from bringing heavy technology to Ligna 2025. Instead: Space for dialogue, models to touch, digital visions to experience. And that was well received - by customers, partners and curious visitors from all over the world.

Five days of trade fair, hundreds of discussions, international contacts. Particularly busy: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday and Friday? A little quieter, but just right for in-depth dialogue.

No machines. No coincidence.

‘Of course, it was a conscious decision to go to Ligna without large machines this time,’ explains Christoph Geiger, Managing Director of the IMA Schelling Group. ‘For our appearance in our anniversary year, we developed a completely new trade fair concept with numerous highlights that delighted customers and visitors alike.’

The focus was clearly on the personal exchange, which was characterized by professional depth and valuable impulses. Our Vision System turned out to be one of the trade fair highlights. The digital camera system struck a chord with visitors who are currently looking for new ways to optimize production.

Solutions from the field

Our 3D plant models also met with positive feedback. The miniature systems showed successfully realized projects and made complex production processes tangible. Our experts guided interested visitors through process chains, explained automation solutions and discussed customized concepts.

Maximilian Lehner, Managing Director of the IMA Schelling Group, sums it up: ‘We wanted quality instead of volume - and we delivered. This trade fair showed once again that we can impress with innovative ideas and authenticity.’

United Engineering+ in top form -78,000 trade visitors from 156 countries

The spirit of our United Engineering+ philosophy ran like a common thread through all five days of the trade fair. United-Engineering+ stands for co-creation, listening, understanding and partnership-based realization - always based on the specific needs of our customers and partners.

A total of 78,000 trade visitors from 156 countries attended Ligna 2025, which celebrated its 50th anniversary this year. And even though the trade fair was smaller overall, with fewer exhibitors and more compact stands, our presence did not fail to make an impact.

We take a lot with us - new impulses, lots of ideas, concrete project enquiries and the good feeling that direct, honest dialogue counts more than any show effect.

Ligna 2025 was different. And that's exactly why it was just right!
