The industrial cutting of panel-shaped non-ferrous metals is placing particularly great demands on the saw. For a perfect cut without scratches and burrs that requires no rework, all machining parameters must be exactly suited to the properties of the individual material. 

Our IMA Schelling “Precision” team develops and realizes fully or partially automated sawing cells tailored to your individual needs. With their material feeding, conveying, handling and stacking solutions precisely adapted to the material to be processed, the workcells are designed to meet the most exacting requirements.

Great power reserves, maximum productivity

Our 'am 10' precision panel cutting saw sets a global benchmark for high-end industrial sawing machines for non ferrous metals. Its solid heavy duty design allows the installation of a vigorous 55 kW motor that offers even more momentum, speed and significantly reduced machining time when it comes to cutting aluminium and non-ferrous metal panels up to 200 mm thick. Moreover numerous detail improvements cut non-productive time, thus boosting productivity, and increase user comfort.

Robust, powerful, yet precise

Our am 12 precision saw for NF metals with package heights up to 250 millimetres features a rugged heavy duty design and even more power. The machine is so powerful because of its extended technical features and integration options. It convinces through its extremely high cutting performance and material removal rates as well as perfect precision. The am 12 already proved its capabilities in multiple applications in aluminium rolling mills. The 68 kW motor (optionally up to 95 kW) allows for maximum productivity. Excellent cleanliness in the entire working area and periphery as well as perfect surface quality of the panels are ensured by our CLEAN-UP chip extraction system. The am 12 can be complemented by an optional weighing & labelling station and optional panel singulating using a vacuum gantry system.

Modular system

Modularity provides individual workcell configurations

The high individuality of our panel cutting cells relies on modularity. It allows us to implement very different design variations based on the proven modules and components of our non-ferrous metal saws. Furthermore, we can choose from a great variety of feeder designs – for example, vacuum feeders, shuttles, preparation tables, etc. Moreover, our sawing cells include fully automatic labelling as well as systems for unloading, stacking and offcut removal.

We count on close and trustful cooperation between our companies for the realization of our panel cutting cells. Depending on the task to be performed, we also include our technology partners for the periphery as well as upstream and downstream workcell elements.  
The result is that our workcells can be configured to meet the specific requirements of batch production or highly individualized production with varying order types and manufacturing parameters such as batch size, format, materials, surfaces, stack heights, etc., and the resulting cells can be integrated in an existing manufacturing system or a newly designed production line.
