aimi - The system of the future
Group-wide software landscape for unified and intuitive machine operation
As a technology leader in the industry, we offer our customers more than ambitious systems at the highest technical level. Software solutions for the control of the machines as well as for the digital communication between man and machine or between the machines form a significant part of our product range. Current solutions have mostly grown historically and have a corresponding complexity. With aimi as a group-wide software landscape, all machines and systems from IMA Schelling will be uniformly and intuitively operable in the future.
Clear structure for more orientation
We have developed the group-wide software aimi so that our customers can orient themselves better in the future and immediately understand which application segment is hidden behind the respective software. With aimi, all machines and systems can be integrated into the individual customer environment and operated uniformly and intuitively. Users of our machines and lines on which aimi is not yet available need not worry. The conversion of current software solutions to aimi is a process and numerous interfaces ensure that everyone will benefit from the new solution.

Three areas provide structure
The new software landscape is divided into three areas
aimi.THINK hides work and production preparation with optimisation as well as production planning and data preparation of all production-relevant information.
aimi.DO stands for implementation, i.e. operation close to the machine.
aimi.TALK includes external networking, i.e. the connection of external machines as well as process feedback and the communicative connection to a customer-specific production environment.
Intuitive software meets high-quality hardware
The heart of our machines and systems - the software - needs to be packaged appropriately. Therefore, the hardware was also completely revised. In addition to optimising various hardware components, everything was given a new, ultra-modern and very high-quality design. The new operating terminal not only shines with its excellent appearance, but also with its optimised user-friendliness:
- Touch display for intuitive and functional operability
- ergonomically optimised keyboard shelf
- robust push buttons for all core functions
- mobile handheld unit for operation outside the operating terminal
