IMAGIC flex – flexible drilling technology for small batch production

More than 30 parts per minute are possible

Whether batch-size-one manufacturing, small to medium batch production or large batch production – the compact throughfeed drilling machines of the 'IMAGIC flex' series can be configured specifically for your individual requirements. 

They are designed to perform flexible horizontal and vertical drilling operations in the bottom and top faces of rectangular workpieces. High flexibility due to separately controllable spindles and workcell setup times reduced to a few seconds allow cost-effective drilling of complex hole patterns without operator intervention. Moreover, the drill heads can be designed to meet the specific requirements of your products and be equipped with special units – for example, for light milling work. And the drilling-dowelling combination in the 'IMAGIC flex' drilling workcell also enables dowel insertion in the workpiece ends. High energy efficiency and environmental friendliness are ensured by the integrated standby mode of the drilling units, process-dependent control of the extraction system and the use of energy-efficient drive technology.

  • The machine sets itself up extremely fast and fully automatically, without reference sequence
  • Optional configuration can extend the machine's capability to 6-side machining
  • An integrated sensing system including computing of the workpiece dimensions allows for excellent drilling accuracy
  • Separate Z axes enable different drilling depths in one stroke
  • The machine can be optionally designed to perform special machining operations
